Día de Muertos Concert – A Celebration of Life and Remembrance

Featuring Carla López-Speziale – Mezzosoprano, and Nilko Andreas, guitarist.

Join us for a celebration of music honoring the Day of the Dead, a cherished tradition that invites us to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have departed.

This program brings together music inspired by remembrance, love, and the enduring connection between the living and those who came before us. Among the works featured is the iconic “La Llorona,” a song deeply rooted in Mexican tradition and familiar to many through the acclaimed Disney film Coco.

The evening also explores a rich tapestry of music from Mexico, Latin America, and beyond, featuring works by María Grever, Macedonio Alcalá, César Portillo de la Luz, Joaquín Rodrigo, and other celebrated composers.

We invite you to share in this musical journey of remembrance, celebrating the beauty of life, the power of memory, and the enduring presence of those we hold dear.
