Nick Grinder is a trombonist and composer who has been active in New York City for over a decade, playing and recording with artists ranging from Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga to the big bands of Arturo OāFarrill and Darcy James Argue, and in the pits of over thirty Broadway shows. Lauded as āan important future voice in jazz tromboneā by Slide Hampton in his youth, his two original albums have been praised as ājoyful yet intricateā (JazzIz) and āpotently beautifulā (All About Jazz). Nick is using Inwood Art Works as a testing ground for his new compositions, and is joined by Martha Kato (piano), Evan Gregor (bass) and John Sturino (drums).
