Events

Check back regularly for more events in Inwood and be sure to spread the word about those you’re interested in attending. The more people we can get to these events, the more exposure local artists will get — something that’s always our goal. Unless otherwise noted, events are free.

Sloka Iyengar will be performing Bharatanatyam – an ancient Indian classical dance form that originated in South India. Bharatanatyam consists of intense footwork and a codified vocabulary of sign language that includes gestures of hands, eyes and face. Pieces range from solo work to group choreography as the dance form allows for intense variety within the set framework.
